Maybe you're graduating soon, about to start somewhere completely new as an attending. Maybe you're a resident who struggled this year, has a stigma to overcome, and feel like you have a lot to prove as you reach your next milestone. Maybe you're an attending who's known as moody, or difficult, who everyone walks on eggshells around. Maybe you worry about what everyone thinks of you, so you don't speak your mind and be assertive when you need to be.

Whatever it is, tomorrow is a new day. If there's something you want to change, change it. You don't have to be tethered to the label that you've been given. You don't have to regret or feel guilty about the past. Everything that has happened to you has shaped who you are.

And today, you can decide to be the same or start to make changes. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone. You don't have to announce it to the world. You can change for you. And you can start right now.
