We have chosen a profession in which we often put taking care of others ahead of taking care of ourselves. Many of us also choose to care for aging parents, children, friends, members of the community. But often, that leaves no time for ourselves.
It can often be overwhelming when thinking about improving our health. Meditate, exercise, buy a Pelaton, change our diet, sleep better, join a gym, get a Fitbit, start journaling. And on, and on, and on...........
But today I encourage you to simply take one step towards improving your health. Just one. One that you want to take. One that you'll look forward to. One that doesn't stress you out.
Maybe that's cooking one healthy recipe you've been wanting to make. Maybe that's taking a walk with a loved one. Maybe that's restarting a hobby that relaxes you, that brings you peace and clears your mind.
