Weekly Wellness 5/12/2021


I went for a run yesterday. I finished and was walking home, sweating, panting, exhausted. A man walked past me with a cane and said, "You look like you've been running". I said, "I have". He smiled and said, "You're lucky you're able to do that", and went on his way.

He's right. I am lucky I'm able to do that. But I didn't think about that when I decided to go for a run. I didn't think about it when I tied up my shoes. I didn't think about it while I was running down the path. I didn't think about it until he said it.

In fact, I rarely think about all the things I'm lucky for. And there are so many things.

WEEKLY WELLNESS TIP: Today, take nothing for granted. Slow down and take note of all the things there are to be thankful for. All the things you can do, that many can't. Gratitude is an important aspect of wellness.
