Weekly Wellness 1/18/2021

"Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Have you ever overheard a sexist or racist comment at work, and not said anything? Have you ever overheard someone judging a patient with fibromyalgia, sickle cell anemia, or other chronic condition, and stayed silent? Have you ever overheard someone insulting a colleague, or laughing about them, and not stepped in?

It's hard. It's easier to stay silent, not 'rock the boat', keep your head down and pretend like you can just move on. But doing the wrong thing weighs heavily on us, and affects our own wellness and those around us.

WEEKLY WELLNESS TIP: This week, if you know something to be wrong, be the person who does what's right. It won't be easy, but you'll never regret doing the right thing.
