"Expectations are premeditated resentments" - Unknown

Have you ever inconvenienced your life and schedule to help a coworker, and the next time you needed help, they didn't even consider it?

Have you ever gone above and beyond to help out a patient just to have them leave AMA, or complain about something else?

Have you ever gone out of your way to plan something special for a loved one, and they didn't seem to appreciate it?

When we have expectations of others, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment. And it's not always fair to expect someone to act or react the way we would, or the way we think they should.

All we can do is be the best version of ourselves, and know we acted in a way we can be proud of. How they react is out of our control.

WEEKLY WELLNESS TIP: This week, consider relinquishing your expectations. At work, at home. Do your best, accept what comes, and see how your frustrations diminish when you let go of expectations of others.
