"No one can show up 100% all of the time. Next time you feel upset for temporarily not being the best version of yourself, notice the attachment you have to perfection and remember that you occasionally need to slow down and preserve your energy to fully restore your well-being" - Yung Pueblo
These last months have been hard. Really hard. No matter your situation, living and working through this pandemic is incredibly difficult.
Have you lost your temper more easily at work? Do you have a shorter fuse? Do little things at home annoy you that never did before?
That's not a character flaw. That's the result of living through this pandemic. Of having to show up to an overpacked and understaffed emergency room. Not being able to drink water at your desk for fear of removing your mask. Not being able to see or hug your loved ones. Not being able to socialize with friends.
Forgive yourself for not being 100% perfect all the time. I'm not. Your mentors are not. Don't expect the impossible from yourself.
WEEKLY WELLNESS TIP: This week, take some time to recognize just how hard this pandemic is on our mental health. Don't beat yourself up for not being perfect every moment of every day.
