You deserve to be treated well.
That is such an important statement, and such an important part of wellness, that I will say it again.
You deserve to be treated well.
Patients cannot swear at you, yell at you, racially, or sexually harass you.
Nurses, techs, consultants, supervisors, cannot publicly humiliate you, be rude to you, emotionally abuse you, or retaliate against you when they are upset.
I remember a resident telling me, after being harassed, "It's fine. I have to get used to it".
This is one aspect of our job you don't have to get used to. Tell your attending. Tell a supervisor. Tell your boss. Tell the charge nurse. Discuss it with whomever can help you resolve it, but never allow yourself to be treated poorly.
