Did you apply for chief resident and not get it? Were you passed up for that promotion? Were you excited about a job you interviewed for, so sure you were going to get it, only to get the call that 'you were a very strong candidate, but we decided to go with someone else?'.

It's hard. It hurts. It's a blow to the ego. But it's not the end.

RBG made the best of her situation when doors were closed to her, only to become a Supreme Court Justice.

You never know what's in store for you. That door may have closed, so you can walk through another one that's even better.
