"Wisdom is knowing what you don't know" - Socrates
I started a new job this week, and they do things differently. I became very anxious about all the things I don't know how to do. I haven't worked at a trauma center in ages. My experience with ultrasound is limited. Going from a community center to an academic center is somewhat overwhelming.
But then I sat back and thought to myself, "nobody knows everything". I do my best with what I know. I continue to learn new things. I have strengths and knowledge that others don't have. But most importantly, I know what I do not know. If I need help, I ask. If I don't know how to do something, there are willing people all around to teach me.
Nobody knows it all. We all have our strengths and weakness. Have confidence in your training and your abilities, continue to learn when you have the opportunity, and you will surely succeed.
